2026 MSEA Summer Leadership Conference Foundations of Power: Learning, Solidarity, and Collective Action
Get the skills you need to organize, advocate, and build power at your worksite. Our SLC 2026 theme, Foundations of Power: Learning, Solidarity, and Collective Action, is designed to help you grow as a union leader who is confident, connected, and ready to act. Join us for hands-on scenarios, dynamic electives, and our annual solidarity action.
1. Locals can utilize the MSEA scholarships that are available (four for each local unit) with local president approval.
2. Members can register for MSEA’s waitlist with local president approval.
3. Members can self-pay.
Scholarships cover 100% of registration costs, but do not cover travel mileage, tolls, or traveling to and from SLC. Locals may choose to fund additional costs outside of the scholarship and grant if they choose.
MSEA’s scholarships cover the double occupancy rate only. If a member selects a single room and is attending on a MSEA scholarship, it will be up to the member or local to pay the difference ($140). All housing options are given on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited quantities, we cannot guarantee your selected option but will do our best to accommodate.
Overnight in a double occupancy hotel room registration is $361 and includes all meals.
Overnight in a single occupancy hotel room registration is $501 and includes all meals.
Commuter registration is $201 and includes lunch and dinner only.
The Emerging Leaders Academy (ELA) is a cohort-based program that continues beyond the Summer Leadership Conference (SLC). Participation in ELA does not affect scholarships allotted to local education associations.
