Everyone pitched in for children’s literacy
Just like many school cafeteria employees across the state, University Park Elementary School’s Libia Martinez, a member in Prince George’s County, scrambled, toasted, and dyed hot green eggs and ham breakfasts for students hungry to catch a glimpse of — and maybe even a hug from — the Cat himself on Read Across America Day. University Park’s celebration of Dr. Seuss and his contributions to children’s literacy featured special guests from the town’s mayor and parents to the local newspaper.
