MSEA Center for Professional Learning invites members to attend a two-day virtual National Board Jump Start Seminar. This seminar helps focus participants working on the certification process and requirements while using tools and resources provided to support them. Candidates will examine the requirements for Component 1: Content Knowledge and Component 3: Teaching Practice and Learning Environment. Candidates will also review standards and discover the three types of writing. A brief overview of Component 2 and 4 will be shared during the general session. There will be ample opportunity to collaborate and gather the information needed to pursue certification. You can attend the sessions that apply best to your current status.
Day 1: Friday, January 22, 2021
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This general session will cover an overview of the process, requirements, components, timelines, and scaffolding standards.
Day 2: Saturday, January 23, 2021
9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
We will cover component 1, types of writing, component 3, and there will be a segment dedicated to Q&A.
