MSEA Statement on the Appointment of Dr. Wright as Maryland’s Next Superintendent
Baltimore County teacher and MSEA President Cheryl Bost on the Maryland State Board of Education’s selection of Dr. Carey Wright as Maryland’s next state superintendent: “We look forward to working with Dr. Wright as she becomes Maryland’s next superintendent of schools. We’ve appreciated the opportunity to build the foundations of a good working relationship with her during her time as interim superintendent. As superintendent, we hope that she will prioritize ensuring that educator voices are at the table in helping to make decisions that impact our schools, students, and critical issues like ending the educator shortage and implementing the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future.”
