Join the Maryland Multicultural Coalition and the MSEA Minority Affairs Committee in a provocative discussion about the impact of poverty on our students in our schools and how to reach and teach them.
The speaker, Paul Gorski is an author, founder of EdChange.org, and an Associate Professor of Integrative Studies at George Mason University. He has written several books and articles addressing the gross inequalities in education and in society. Paul will discuss the current trends and issues affecting all students and the impact of poverty in our schools. His book, “Reaching and Teaching Students in Poverty” will be highlighted.
